While I agree with your high-level assessments, you might be interested in a few details: The Chromebook is as good as it is because it is lightweight, quick, and battery efficient. If I wanted a full-fledged operating system I would have gotten a Windows laptop, but I didn't because I didn't want the overhead that comes with those. So do I, and I specifically selected a Chromebook as a companion, not a replacement. As you said, you have a powerful desktop for the heavy lifting.

I might be in way over my head, but I hope this OS will eventually improve to become a full fledged Operating System! I really liked the Pixelbook Go's design, build quality, and performance, so giving it up for the Galaxy wasn't the easiest decision, but in the trade I got a fingerprint reader, a much nicer screen, expandable storage, a newer generation processor, and both more and faster built-in storage. I went in knowing that the battery life of the Galaxy is shorter than that of the Pixelbook Go, but for my purposes it's still more than sufficient. I had the Pixelbook Go but just returned it for the Galaxy Chromebook. Full fledged wasn't the right choice of words.
